Position: Weekend/Evening Circulation Supervisor
Lorette Wilmot Library and Media Center, Nazareth College, Rochester, NY
Compensation and benefits: Grade 7
Description: Under the direction of the Director of Circulation and Building Services, responds to patron needs and questions. Trains, assigns tasks and supervises student workers. Communicates library policy to patrons. Maintains a safe library environment by sound decision-making during unforeseen events and following proper emergency procedures. Responsible for the security of, as well as opening/closing of the building. In absence of department specific supervisors, supervise student assistants in all other areas of the library.
Bachelor's Degree and ability to handle confidential information is required for this position. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are necessary in interaction with students, faculty, staff and community. Previous supervisory and library experience is desirable, as is experience with computer/information technology. Manual dexterity is necessary due to the lifting/moving of books.
Hours: 13 hours a week - 52 weeks a year
Saturday 4:00 pm - 10:15 pm; Sunday 4:30 pm - 12:15 am
